Hiring A Garland Electrician

Replacing electrical outlets is a task that many homeowners do not feel at ease performing themselves. In fact, though switch or outlet replacement is a pretty straightforward task, there is a reason handling electrical wiring in your home is intimidating. Threats of getting electrically shocked or a possible electrical fire in the future are both scary, and performing this job improperly can have dangerous consequences. This task can be performed by a DIYer, but if you are unsure with what to do it is best to leave it to a Garland electrician.

Switch Replacement

You might want to consider upgrading your switches, if replacing them. There is a wide range of features available in light switches including dimmers which remember a variety of different settings, dimming with full-range, operate lights located anywhere in the house with central lighting controls, switches in which turn lights on automatically when someone enters room, and infrared remotes that are handheld. You may want to contact a Garland electrician for assistance with these switches.

Outlet Replacement

With electrical outlets, it is helpful knowing what type is best for different situations. Do you need a regular 120-volt or will you need a GFI (also known as GFCI, ground fault circuit interrupter) outlet? Bathroom, kitchen, and exterior outlets should have the protection of a GFI for guarding against electrocution. Will this outlet need to be grounded or not? If you want to complete this job on your own, it is important for you to know answer to questions like these. If you are unable to answer them, contact a Garland electrician to help replace your outlets.

Thermostat Replacement

Thermostat replacement is a process that is rather similar to electrical outlet or switch replacement. Thermostats have an activating switch and temperature sensor to control cooling and heating equipment and maintain temperatures and a fixed range. Thermostats that are newer are programmable, electron devices which couple sensors together with circuitry to perform the job. Majority are similar to minicomputers that are able to align cooling and heating automatically to fluctuating daily needs, which can help reduce your energy costs. If you have not done so already, you may want to consider switching to an electric, programmable model from a manual one. These thermostats are affordable and save energy. Your heating bill will be cut approximately 3 percent for each degree you reduce your heat.

Hire a Garland Electrician for Switch and Outlet Replacement

If you are planning on replacing you electrical outlets, switches, or thermostats, you may want to skip doing this task on your own and hire a Garland electrician to complete it. Even though replacement of these electrical items can be intimidating for some homeowners, it is easy and quick for a Garland electrician. They have experience to perform the job properly with ease. No need for you to use up your free time, instead use it for fun or relaxing. Having a professional electrician replace electrical devices ensures the safety of you and your family.

Barney previously replaced our very worn out electric panel and was efficient and professional. He also came out on short notice Christmas Eve morning to repair an issue that left us without power in a portion of the kitchen -- just in time to welcome our company. Barney is quick to respond, very knowledgeable and performs quality work. We will continue to use Barney for our future electrical work.

Recently moved into a new and house and needed some plugs moved on a couple of walls. Did a search and liked the reviews I found on Barney’s. Called and to my surprise Barney actually answered. He said he was on vacation and would have one of his guys give me a call. That happened and we set an appointment. To my surprise again got a call from his guy saying he had an opening a day earlier and wanted to know if he could come by. It didn’t work for me but on the original ally scheduled date there were 2 guys at my door 15 minutes early. Polite, courteous, and professional. Very reasonable prices as well. Highly recommend. I’ll call them first for all my future electrical needs.

Steve from Barney's was just here for a service call. Had a high pitch noise that I thought was from a light on the patio. After searching he pointed to my exercise bike. I turned it off and the noise stopped. Needless to say I felt about 2 inches tall!! He charged zero. Merry Christmas!! Highly recommend Steve.
