Electrical Repairs Parker TX

Have a Home Electrical Inspection for Your Protection

There are four conditions that a home electrical inspection is recommended. If the home is forty years old and older, an appliance was added, major renovation of the home, and before the purchase of a home. This recommended comes from, the Electrical Safety Foundation. A certified electrician is the one that performs the inspection. No matter what the reason, this will provide you with peace of mind. A local electrician can be hired in Lavon, or any area you might reside.

Electrician in Parker, Texas

The certified electrician will perform several tasks during the inspection. The entire electrical system of the home is inspected and tested. The electrician ensures that all appliances, systems, electrical wires, and components are up to the safety code. They will supply you with written details of the inspection. Issues that need attention immediately, improvements recommended, and possible upgrades will be listed. Most times, you can employ electrician services from the company doing the inspection if wanted. It is not mandatory though, you may hire a different company to perform any work needed.

Service panels for the electric in the home, is in every house. They usually are in the basement, garage, or outside of the home. This is where circuit breakers or fuses are contained. The inspector will examine the components and panel for wear and tear, age, and smoky or dark residue. If the panel is worn or rusty it should be replaced. If the service panel does not have circuit breaker switches, but the round fuses instead, it needs to be replaced, as well. Have a master electrician do the work for you, to ensure it is done correctly.

In most cases, if the home has the out-dated round fuses, the wiring is also old. There is a possibility there is knob and tube wiring, if the home was built prior to 1950. Aluminum wire may be in homes that were built between 1965-1973. Both types of wires pose a hazard. Homeowners should have this wiring replaced. If planning on buying this home, take this into consideration.

Ground fault circuit interceptors (GFCI), must be installed in kitchens and bathrooms, or any area that is wet. There needs to be several inches between any water, and light switches. Any outlets that are outdoors, must have GFCI. It is advised for the homeowner to test these periodically. During the electrical inspection, these should be tested, as well.

If the home is occupied or currently for sale, they should be visually inspected. The appliance cords, interior outlets, light switches and ground fault circuit interceptors, needs to be tested routinely. If the outlet is loose, replace or tighten it. Check that the cords are close fitting. Check the outlets to ensure they stay cool when you touch them. Visually check to see if the outlet has any black smoke. Call a local electrician, if any humming or switching noises come from around the lighting or outlets.

This home electrical inspection, may safe a life.

Great experience with Barney. He's on the smaller side company wise which i prefer as it affords you access directly to the owner. Quality work and even provides estimates with out requiring a service fee. Which i think is a no brainer. Why would i pay a company to come and tell me how much im going to pay them. Estimates should be free. Looking forward to doing more work in the future with Barney.

This is Tonya writing this on my husband phone...
Wow!!! Amazing is all I can say!! After 3 electricians who gave huge quotes and set up times to rip out everything and start anew. Mr Barney and his assistant went into my garage and fixed it all in five minutes. My husband and I are in shock thinking there is no way that just happened. So happy. And the laidback funny attitudes put us at ease. Highly recommend these guys!!!

Two circuits from the house out to a new gate, some 149 feet, and then wired new lights, power outlets, and a photo couple at the pole. One of the circuits was to feed the gate opener and another was for lights and outlets.

After securing several bids, Barney's was the most reasonable. Of the three bids, another electrician was about 600 dollars higher than Barney, and Rockwall Electric gave me an estimate for four thousand six hundred dollars for exactly the same work. Barney's quote was less than half that!

Well, any fool alive can make the decision to go with the lower bid, but it was more than that to me. Barney is just a down to earth guy, and his sidekick completes the pair - two dedicated guys serious about what they do and doing it right.

They made arrangements for the trenching and ensured it took place the same day they laid the conduit and ran the lines, and the trench was filled in before the end of the day. Given the rains here lately, that took coordination.

And the best part? It all worked the first time. Not many of the providers perform as expected the first time around. This one did. Hire HIM, you will not be sorry.
